Alchemedia Messaging System is a highly configurable, modular SMS messaging solution which enables an organisation two-way communication with thier customers over SMS.
It consists of :
- An SMS Engine responsible for both the construction and interpretation of SMS messages
- A database server storing such things as the individual "Event Records" as well as the data requested by the users
- A WAP engine responsible for both the construction and interpretation of GPRS/WAP pages.
- A web-based front end allowing the administrators to manage the data content communicated to the users.
Architecture
The Alchemedia Messaging System is built around an SMS engine that implements a two-way SMS communication.
The engine enables rapid development of SMS-enabled applications and allows users to create and manage various messaging activities for multiple clients using one or more mobile numbers.
The design allows for multiple messaging solutions to be managed simultaneously, with communications channelled through the system's SMS Engine.
The engine uses a relational database to store all the necessary information. Connectivity with mobile networks can be implemented through a number of channels including GSM modem, an aggregator or directly to a SMSC.
Based on the Alchemedia Messaging System, Alchemedia Solutions have developed an SMS/WAP solution to provide in real time Australian Ferry timetable information.
